'memories and landscape'

In this new body of work,  I aim to express through colour and scale the moments in the landscape that have made an enduring impression on me. Often these moments are visual, emotional and intellectual - causing a moment of reflection or the start of a path to a new way of seeing.

'wrap your. loving arms around me', Bouddi National Park triptych'

in response to a few days of residency generously provided near this special coastal park close to Sydney, I painting this triptych. In the heat of summer, on rocky sandstone escarpments, the Angophora trees intertwine and become impenetrable - they were either embracing me or trapping me - I chose the former. I needed scale for this and chose the triptych to convey the sense of being surrounded.
