Margaret Dix is a painter, working both en plein air and in her studio in Sydney, Australia.

Her subject ranges from the rugged coastlines and vast interiors of Australia to the luminous landscapes of Greece, Italy, and beyond. Through international artist residencies and extensive travel, she brings a spirit of curiosity and deep observation to her practice.

Her paintings are engaging, richly attuned to place, and infused with a sensitivity that invites the viewer to linger.

Margaret holds a BA(Painting) from the National Art School, Australia. She exhibits regularly and has been a finalist in several respected art prizes including the Waverley Art Prize, the Basil Sellers Art Prize and the Little Things Art Prize.
