Margaret’s paintings start with an observation of the landscape and culminate in depictions of the remembered and imagined. Whilst the landscapes that inspire her works are clear, she is interested in creating space for her audience to have their own personal experience of place. Margaret's objective is to enable calm and reflective connections rather than depicting realism.

Margaret lives and works in Sydney and is inspired by travel around Australia and Internationally. She documents these travels both photographically and with sketches and paintings. In her Sydney studio, she collates these reference materials and draws on them to construct her finished works.

Since completing a Bachelor of Fine Art with a painting major at the National Art School in 2018, Margaret has been in several group exhibitions in Sydney, Melbourne, Moree, Sutton Village and Toowoomba, participated in an artist residency on Skopelos Island, and been a finalist in several art prizes and awards.
