Margaret Dix is an artist living and working in Sydney, Australia. Margaret completed a Bachelor of Fine Art majoring in painting at the National Art School in 2018. Margaret's work reflects a broad range of interests and covers a range of subject matter. Her graduating body of work, unsettled, is an investigation of the role of photography in creating family narratives and the ambiguous relationship between truth and memory. She is interested in the way we curate our lives through photographs and the way this curation has taken the form of contemporary biography. Margaret is drawn to the outside, the view and the landscape. The sense of calm she gets from this is evoked in her work.
