Margaret’s paintings start with an observation of the landscape and culminate in depictions of the remembered and imagined. Whilst the landscapes that inspire her works are clear, she is interested in creating space for her audience to have their own personal experience of place. Margaret's objective is to enable reflective connections rather than depicting realism.
Since completing a Bachelor of Fine Art with a painting major at the National Art School in 2018, Margaret has been in many group exhibitions in Australia and undertaken artist residencies in Australia and Greece. She has been a finalist in several art prizes and awards including the Waverley Art Prize, the Waverley 5 x 9 Art Prize, the Basil Sellers Art Prize, The Hunters Hill Art Prize and Amber Creswell Bell Selects from the National Emerging Art Prize.
